Symposium > Art and Museums in the post-digital age |
Most of the Western world already lives in a post-digital age. The young and adults alike naturally use cell phones, apps, and social networks, and even the internet is old news by now. However, the digital isn’t a natural fit for the art and museum world. This conference will look into the challenges and opportunities this age brings. What new art is being created in the age of AI and big data? How are museums changing in an age where most people find art on Instagram and social network feeds? How has the relationship between artist and audience changed now that crowds expect to influence and participate? What challenges do the museum curator and director face in the post-digital age? What new jobs will emerge in the art, design and museum world in the near future with the rise of AI technologies, virtual and augmented reality and social media? The participants in this unique international conference are top experts from Israel and from leading museums in the world who address the changes in the art, design and museum fields on a daily basis.
