The Ball will be dedicated to the most surprising fashion industry in the country in terms of scale evening and bridal gowns. This is the first exhibitions dedicated to this topic in Israel. What does the huge investment in one-time events indicate? Why did these luxurious dresses arrive in Israel and where did they come from?
Through theatrical spaces set up throughout the museum, the exhibition will track the history of evening gowns, from the Versailles days and Marie Antoinette, through Cinderella and classic cocktail dresses - to the design and creative interpretation of leading designers in Israel.
Through a creative dialogue between the contemporary andthe historical the exhibition will examine elegant European gowns as we have come to know them in fairy tales and princess fantasies and their place in contemporary Israeli culture. The exhibition will also present questions on therole of fashion and grand celebrations in everyday life, focusing on the place of wealth and happiness in our society.
