Design Lectures and Encounters during Design Week Holon:

* Lectures | Thursday, March 28, 16:00-18:00, Auditorium

Eha Komissarov, curator of "Fashion and the Cold War", and Anu Liivak, director of the Fine Art Museum of Estonia, will be giving a joint lecture on fashion in the communist era.

Austrian Designer and architect Martin Mostböck will be giving a special lecture in the Materials Library at Design Museum Holon in which he will present the design and manufacturing process of the FLAXX chair. The lecture will expand on and describe the different design and development processes leading up to the end product. There will be an exhibition in the Materials Library of chairs and samples of various materials used to make the FLAXX chair, as well as sketches, unique manufacturing processes, and original elements.

* Portfolio Live | Thursday, March 28, 18:00, Design Museum

In addition to the encounters and lectures, a France-Holon Portfolio Live encounter will be held with international guests, moderated by journalist Yuval Saar.

* Film and Introduction | Thursday, March 28, 20:00, Holon Cinematheque

Screening of the new three-part series "Fashion!", which presents the contemporary history of the fashion industry:
Part One - Golden Eighties
Part Two - Go Global
Part Three - Antifashion
Screening and introduction by director Olivier Nicklaus, guest of the Israel-France Design Forum.
