Declaration of accessibility<\/strong><\/p>\n

Design Museum Holon (DMH) set as its goal the facilitation of full accessibility to its website and content for the general population, including people with disabilities. Design Museum Holon believes in equality and equal opportunity to maximize the use of website contents, which is why it works to promote the accessibility of Israeli websites, adapting them to suit the entire population in Israel, in compliance with the Equal Rights for People with Disabilities Act and its regulations. Further to making the websites accessible, the company team is currently undergoing training in accessible service provision.<\/p>\n

Making the website accessible<\/strong><\/p>\n

Website accessibility is carried out pursuant to the Israel Standard (IS) 5568 and the directives International Standard, making them W3C level AA compliant.<\/p>\n

How does website accessibility operate?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Clicking on the Accessibility<\/u> button located at the upper left corner of the www.dmh.org.il<\/a> website opens up a menu which scrolls down for a choice of types of accessibility. After choosing and clicking on the desired mode, the website beings loading with the accessibility features. These features may be turned off by clicking on Cancel accessibility<\/u> which also appears on the Menu.<\/p>\n

The main adaptations:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Colors<\/em> \u2013 change in color contrast based on dark and\/or light background. Colors suited to colorblind users.<\/p>\n

Keyboard<\/em> \u2013 option provided for keyboard navigation<\/p>\n

The staff of the Design Museum Holon strives to provide the best possible service to its visitors. Nevertheless, in the event that the visitor encounters a limitation that disrupts or blocks accessibility, we would very much like to hear about it.<\/p>\n

Purchasing takes place through the Iframe window which shows the TopTix ordering system. This is a third-party ticketing system which is not completely accessible. We are at your service to assist in ordering by telephone, 03-502-1555.<\/p>\n

Accessibility in the Museum:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Adaptations for physical accessibility throughout the Museum have been completed, with service accessibility adjustments in advanced stages of completion.<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0 Accessible parking spots for standard cars and tall vehicles have been completed<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0 Accessible pathways through the areas under development, from the street and car park, have been repaired<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0 Accessible elevator has been installed with a Type 2 cabin, size 140 X 110<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0 Accessible toilet stall has been installed<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0 Caution and directional signage has been installed<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0 Assistive listening directional system has been installed<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0 Employees are undergoing training on the issue of accessibility, and protocols are in place for service provision<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0 Guide dogs are welcome, with a protocol for a suitable seating area<\/p>\n

An accessibility route is in place<\/strong><\/p>\n

The installation of an assistive listening system for the hearing impaired will soon be completed.<\/p>\n

A sign-language translator may be booked with at least 3 weeks\u2019 notice.<\/p>\n
