Marcel Besau (1980 born in Krefeld, Germany) studied product-design Bergische Univsität Wuppertal and at the University of Art and Design Karlsruhe. He lives and works as freelance designers in Hamburg since 2010. His working combines the product design with graphic design and Generative Design.

Design Questionnaire

Q : How would you define your design style?
A : Experimental and generative

Q : What would you do if you were not a designer/artist?
A : I think I would be an artist or maybe a mathematician, if I were not a designer

Q : Where do you draw your ideas/inspiration from?
A : Most insoirations come form nature, like mirco or macro structures

Q : Who do you consult about works?
A : Eva Marguerre and my friends in our office

Q : Which of your projects do you consider a success?

Q : To what extent do you believe that design should be functional?
A : Design is always functional, but functionality can also mean an aesthetic function.

Q : What are your future projects?
