Klara Czerniewska, born in 1987, Warsaw, Poland, is an Art historian and critic. She graduated (hons) from the Institute of Art History, University of Warsaw. Author of Gaber i Pani Fantazja. Surrealizm stosowany [Gaber and Miss Fantasia: Applied Surrealism] (Warszawa 2011) - a book on a couple of multidisciplinary artists active in communist Poland - Hanna and Gabriel Rechowicz.
Since 2010 she cooperates with the curator and journalist Agnieszka Jacobson-Cielecka conducting research and organizing exhibitions of design and applied arts. She is also engaged in writing, editing and translating texts accompanying the shows (UnPolished, Materia Prima, Dziecinada / Child's Play - Polish design for Kids, Co ty pleciesz? / Spinning a yarn).
Her texts on art and design were published in dwutygodnik.com, biweekly.pl, Exit, KMAG, Kontakt, Take Me.
She is interested in design and architecture of the so called socialist modernism and contemporary art.
