The Design Museum Holon Collection - Ron Arad

Ron Arad
Voido Chair, 2006
Rotational-molded Polyethylene

The organic forms of the Voido Chair clearly betray Arad's distinctive style and handwriting. The chair is made of cast polyethylene which is poured into a constantly rotating mold, allowing an even spread across it. Rotational molding yields hollow, whole pieces with a smooth exterior finish. The Voido Chair can be used outdoors, under direct sunlight.

Designed for Magis
