A flexible sheet of crystals inlaid on metal. Crystal is a type of glass containing a high percentage of heavy metals, mainly lead, which endow it with unique optical qualities. Due to their optical qualities and relatively low cost, crystals are used as a substitute for diamonds. Use of crystals in designer Jaime Hayon's Funtastico exhibition was made, among other things, by means of a combination with ceramics in his Crystal Candy Set: an extraordinary combination of a shiny, transparent material and a totally matte and opaque material that creates new and interesting contexts.
