T3-00041 | Modern Lace

Modern lace made of delicate synthetic fabrics, mainly polyester and polyamide. These textiles create a unique combination of old and new by means of industrial technologies that produce embroidery patterns from the world of traditional handwork, or alternatively by incorporating laser-cut classic ornaments of taffeta silk. The extraordinary use of contemporary technologies to create ornamentation with nostalgic connotations on these textiles is reminiscent of the interesting combinations Jaime Hayon uses in his work, from material and conceptual aspects alike, to create objects that tell an entire cultural story.
