Azinta Plantenga is Assistant Research Fellow at the College of Design & Innovation at Tongji University in Shanghai, where she teaches design history and is helping to establish a new Curatorial Lab
She was previously a curator at Design Society in Shenzhen, China, where she co-curated "Craft: The Reset".

From the Netherlands, she studied Chinese Language and Culture as well as Design History at Leiden University. She has worked on numerous design exhibitions in the Netherlands as a curatorial assistant, design historian and researcher, including multiple projects for the Design and Decorative Arts curatorial department of the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam.
