The New Vote (Israeli version)
2019
Digital print, stickers, video: 2:22 minutes

What happens when you vote for something rather than forsomeone?Instead of giving your vote to one party, the installation allows youto vote for your positions on separate issues. In this case, you arenot voting for a particular politician, but for burning issues fromboth 2019 election campaigns. The New Vote (Israeli Version) is alocal, offline version of the Dutch project Het Nieuwe Kiezen - aproposal for a modular voting system. The project offers a votingspace that encourages involvement in the democratic process andseeks to reduce social polarization by bringing more nuances to thepolitical debate.
