Italian Design Day 3

Tuesday, 19.3, 09:30 | Special event with the Italian architects Samuele Sordi and Giulio Ceppi

Italian design was born in the workshops of Renaissance artists, whose diverse skills brought to life innovative products with a high aesthetic content. Ever since then, research in the field of industrial design has developed through a constant interaction between design schools and art movements, combining Italy's remarkable craftsmanship tradition with technological innovation. Moreover, design portrays a very distinct feature of the Italian spirit, which in itself has many of the elements that are internationally identified with 'Brand Italy'.

In this third year of celebration, our distinguished Ambassadors to Tel Aviv will be Samuele Sordi and Giulio Ceppi. Sordi is a well-established architect who has been leading, within the Pininfarina group, a wide range of cultural, residential and commercial projects in Europe, Middle East and Asia. Giulio Ceppi, architect and designer, has been teaching as a Professor in several Italian Universities and, in 1999, he has founded his own visioning and design strategy company "Total Tool" with divisions in Milan and Buenos Aires. He has won several international prizes and his works have been hosted in valuable international expositions.'
